Die Arktis wird eisfrei - was bedeutet das?

Das Eis in der Arktis (siehe Grafik rechts) schmilzt dramatisch. Bereits 2015 könnte die Arktis im Sommer eisfrei sein. Dies ist eine massive Veränderung des nördlichsten Teils unseres Planeten. Der englische Glaziologe Peter Wadhams kommt nach Zürich (Mittwoch, 8. Januar) und berichtet über das Thema seiner Forschungen. Am Donnerstag 9. Januar spricht Prof. Reto Knutti beim Apero von South Pole Carbon.

The other narrative shows the efforts of emeritus professor Guy McPherson to challenge the culture of empire and consumerism, and lead by example towards more sustainable ways of living.
